Along the way we will research the devastating effects upon the cultures as well as the diminishing wildlife and how these are directly a result of the HIV/AIDS epidemic plaguing the innocent people of the countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our team will focus our research upon the same indigenous people and their cultures as well as the wildlife populations that Mr. Hoefler encountered along his journey. The real irony, Mr. Hoefler was a safari hunter that probably led indirectly to the demise of the animal populations that were abundant in the 1920's across the continent in his attempt to bring a piece of Africa back to the developed world.
